Cleaning the Inlet Valve Filter

1. Turn off the water supply tap and unplug the washing machine from the power source.
2. Unscrew the water supply hose from the back of the washing machine.
3. Use needle-nose pliers to gently pull out the plastic mesh filter located inside the valve opening.
4. Rinse the filter under running water to remove sediment, sand, or mineral deposits.
5. Reinsert the filter, reconnect the hose, and check for leaks before turning the power back on.

Testing the Solenoid Valve with a Multimeter

1. Ensure the machine is unplugged and the water supply is turned off.
2. Remove the top panel of the washing machine to access the inlet valve assembly.
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the solenoid coils.
4. Set your multimeter to the Ohms (Ω) setting.
5. Place the multimeter probes on the two terminals of the solenoid coil; a functional coil should show a reading typically between 3k to 5k Ohms.
6. If the multimeter shows 'OL' (Open Loop) or no continuity, the solenoid coil is burnt out and the valve must be replaced.
