How to Clean the Bosch Drain Pump Filter

1. Turn off the machine and unplug it from the power socket to ensure electrical safety.
2. Locate the service flap at the bottom right corner of the machine and open it using a flat-head screwdriver or a coin.
3. Place a shallow tray or a thick towel on the floor to catch the residual water that will flow out once the filter is opened.
4. Slowly unscrew the pump cover counter-clockwise. Do not remove it completely at once; let the water drain out gradually into your tray.
5. Once the water stops flowing, unscrew the filter completely and remove any trapped objects like coins, hairpins, or lint.
6. Rinse the filter under a tap to remove debris and check the pump impeller inside the housing to ensure it spins freely.
7. Reinsert the filter, tighten it firmly clockwise, close the service flap, and run a short spin cycle to test.

1. Check the drain hose behind the machine to ensure it is not kinked, bent, or crushed against the wall.
2. Inspect the sink trap or standpipe where the drain hose is connected to ensure it is not clogged with food particles or debris.
